March into Spring in Central Oregon

Posted by Cascade Village

March has arrived, and with it, spring in Central Oregon. It has been an incredible winter. We haven’t seen this much snow in decades, and because of that, plenty of people are happy to welcome spring’s arrival.

For lovers of the snow, March’s arrival means there are only 3-10 weeks of winter left. Don’t miss any of it! If you love Mt. Bachelor, don’t worry; the lifts will continue to run until May.

With that much time on the mountain left, it’s the perfect opportunity to check on the condition of your equipment. Dick’s Sporting Goods has what you need for all your mountain fun, as well as supplies.

Spring forward on March 12

Daylight Savings Time begins on March 12. This is when we ‘spring forward’ with an extra hour of sunlight. Cascade Village wants to know, how are you going to spend it?

No matter how you choose to spend your extra daylight hour, there is certainly no lack of opportunities. March is full of noteworthy events, and Cascade Village has what you need to make the most out of them.

On March 14th, college basketball championships begin for men and women. With 64 teams and almost a month’s worth of games, you might want to double check not only your brackets but also your couch and entertainment system. As you’re probably going to have some people over for the game, it might be a good idea to make sure you’ve got everything you need.

Best Buy and Ashley Furniture wouldn’t let your entertainment center or furnishings disappoint during the games. Whatever your needs may be, they’ve got you covered. While you’re at it, stop by Pro Image, grab some gear and show your team love.

Celebrations in March

March is also time for holidays. In addition to the joy of spring’s arrival (and spring break, of course), March ushers in St. Patrick’s Day. If your idea of holiday fun involves food and drink, swing on by World Market, Trader Joe’s and Food4Less and pick up the necessary supplies.

Having everything you need to make your holiday gatherings a success makes life and party planning much easier.
