Get Healthy and Get Outside with Cascade Village
The holidays have come and gone and 2017 has finally arrived. With the New Year, there are almost always resolutions, and those are often about getting healthy.
Central Oregon is full of wonderful year-round outdoor activities. There’s no better way to get —and stay — healthy then being outside. Are you heading to Bachelor or Hoodoo? Perhaps you’re planning a trip to Virginia Meissner Sno-Park for a Nordic ski adventure. With over 40 kilometers of trails, terrain and views, Virginia Meissner is the perfect spot for it.
While planning your outdoor adventure, make sure you’re prepared. Regardless of your outdoor winter sport, you’re going to need gear, and Dick’s Sporting Goods has it. From camping, hunting and fishing to skiing, snowboarding and tubing, Dick’s has it all.
Central Oregon winters get cold, so you’re going to need layers — and gloves, a hat, thick socks and boots. Head over to Dick’s, Ross, JC Penney or Famous Footwear and put your best foot forward.
Your outdoor adventures are certainly going to make you hungry. No problem. Make a stop at Food 4 Less, conveniently located nearby Dick’s Sporting Goods, for everything you need to fill you up on the trip, or grab a snack at one of the many dining options at Cascade Village.
And, don’t forget to make the thermos full of cocoa with ingredients from World Market. When you think about it, it seems silly to head up the mountain and traverse through the snow only to leave the warm beverages back in Bend. We think having something warm to drink while admiring the views will make the trip more magical. Of course, that’s in addition to the wonderful workout in the woods that awaits.
The mountains will help you get off the couch and on to the trails. Cascade Village Shopping Center is happy to supply your treks. Make this year everything you’ve hoped for by getting healthy, and getting outside.
