The Local Difference at Left Coast Burgers

Posted by Cascade Village

There are a few constants in life. One, that life will always make its own plans for you (hello pandemic). And, two, that a good burger, fries, and shake can make a bad day so much better. Left Coast Burgers has just re-opened its doors after complying with the stay-at-home orders, and this instant Bend classic is ready again to serve customers delicious, local food.

2019 debut

After years of preparation, Left Coast Burger Company officially opened its doors in November 2019 at the CVSC. The general concept of the restaurant was to reflect an old school burger joint with “diner-style chairs, counter service, and an open kitchen, where customers can see their burgers being made.” Yet LCBC took this one step further with what they describe as “elevated diner burgers” –– and local beer on tap, of course.

Plus, the building’s roll-up doors offer the perfect view for diners to people-watch at the CVSC, especially the iconic splash park in the summertime.

The local touch

The owner of Left Coast Burger knows a thing or two about supporting local. Lisandro Ramon and his family own another go-to Bend joint: The Brown Owl at the Box Factory. Take a peek at their Instagram grid, and the family effort and passion put into the LCBC is apparent. Not to mention their further commitment to keeping things local in the restaurant’s design.

Ramon hired local tattoo artist, Chris Callister at Iron Elephant Tattoo, to design the graphics for the menu and the accent wall. And when it came to applying these designs, Ramon turned to Dana Signs in Bend and Redmond.

What to expect

When it comes to their menu, simple yet superb seems to be the theme. Their menu includes a single, double, or vegan burger with as many bells and whistles as you’d like sandwiched between a potato bun. Patrons can also choose between regular and vegan fries (cooked in sunflower oil versus Kobe beef tallow).

To rinse it all down, drink options include sodas, shakes (classic flavors with the addition of dairy-free coconut), and local beer.

Back in business

Throughout the extended stay-at-home orders, Left Coast Burgers anxiously awaited their return to business as usual. Now, the wait is over! Stop by their CVSC location today.
