Your Complete Christmas Dinner Shopping List

We love Christmas Eve. It’s a magical night filled with candlelit dinners, star-topped trees, and visions of sugar plums dancing in our heads. For those hosting dinner this year, we wanted to make your life easier by picking some of our favorite recipes and creating a Christmas dinner shopping list that you could print out and bring in to Food4Less or Trader Joe’s so you can prep for the big night with ease.

Here is Your Complete Christmas Dinner Shopping List

Pioneer Woman’s Prime Rib

1 boneless rib eye roast (14 lbs.)
4 tbsp. olive oil
1/2 cup kosher salt
4 tbsp. peppercorns
3 sprigs rosemary
3 sprigs thyme
1/2 cup garlic

Bon Appétit’s Twice Baked Potatoes

4 large russet potatoes
2 tbsp. vegetable oil
1/2 cup sour cream
1/4 cup unsalted butter
1/4 cup chopped chives
1 tbsp. chopped tarragon (optional)
Kosher salt and ground black pepper

Martha Stewart’s Oyster Stuffing

12 slices brioche, 3/4 inch thick, crusts removed
4 tbsp. butter
1 onion, diced
2 celery ribs, diced
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. ground black pepper
1/8 tsp. grated nutmeg
1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
2 tbsp. cognac, (optional)
2 dozen shucked oysters, 1/3 cup liquids reserved
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 1/2 cups flat-leaf parsley, chopped

The New York Times’ Roasted Brussels Sprouts

1 pint Brussels sprouts (about a pound)
4-6 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
5 cloves garlic, peeled
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tbsp. Balsamic vinegar

Sugar Plum Pie

1 1/4 cups sugar
2 1/2 tbsp. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 quart small black and red plums
Puff pastry for crust
3 egg whites
6 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Sugar Cookies for Santa

2 cups flour
1/2 tsp. kosher salt
1 cup butter (2 sticks)
1 cup sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp. vanilla extract
Optional toppings such as sprinkles, dried fruit, nuts, citrus zest, chai spices, or cream cheese filling

Wassail Punch

12 whole cloves
6 whole allspice
1/2 inch ginger root, peeled and sliced
3 cinnamon sticks
12 white peppercorns
1 gallon fresh apple cider
6 ounces cranberry juice
3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
10-12 ounces bourbon
