The Best Grocery Stores in Bend, Oregon

Posted by Cascade Village

There are a few kinds of grocery store shoppers. There are the uber health conscious organic shoppers, discount savings shoppers, loyalists to a particular chain or local market, and bulk shoppers. But what if you are a little bit of each of these kinds of shoppers? If so, it sounds like it’s time to visit Cascade Village Shopping Center. We have two grocery chains in our center that offer shoppers the best of all grocery store worlds.

In our humble opinion, here are the best grocery stores in Bend, Oregon.

Trader Joe’s

You may be surprised, but Trader Joe’s has been in the grocery industry since the 1950s. Before the owner, Trader Joe, changed the name in 1967 the store was called Pronto Markets. Trader Joe’s offers great-tasting food at a bargain. The store itself offers a unique shopping experience with some of the friendliest employees around, especially in their Hawaiian shirt uniforms. Trader Joe’s has excellent, organic products and any shopper will feel good with their purchases when they shop here.

Food4Less

Not surprisingly, the message of this chain is in the name. While shopping here, you will get food for less. And good food to boot! Choose between all the brands you know and love or choose from local products that you might not have heard of. This grocery store has bulk options, fresh organic produce, and more. They even have an in-house meat cutter!

Bonus: Cost Plus World Market

While this store isn’t known for grocery shopping, World Market has a wonderful assortment of international food and wines. Let’s just say it’s nice to get some Swiss chocolate every now and then as a treat! Make sure you check out the food aisles while you are shopping for worldly home decor.
