Fun Things to Do in Bend This Halloween
It’s that time of year again! Halloween brings adorable and sometimes scary costumes, yummy treats, pumpkin carving, and lots of parties and events. Bend is known for its fun activities, and there are plenty during the entire month of October.
Here are some fun things to do in Bend this Halloween and the month leading up to the main event!
Fall Festival
Oct. 5th-7th
NW Minnesota St., Downtown Bend
The annual Fall Festival falls on the first weekend of October this year. There will be pumpkin painting, scrumptious food and wine options, an entire street dedicated to family fun, live music, and a seasonal harvest market.
BendFilm
Oct. 11th-14th
BendFilm is a beloved Central Oregonian annual staple. Showcasing independent films from the Pacific Northwest and beyond, the film festival observes creative filmmakers everywhere. The event will celebrate its 15th year this October.
Films will be screened at the local theaters and other venues around Bend.
FootZone Events
Local shoe store FootZone is also known for its awesome running events. On October 20th they will host a 50k run that will run along the Deschutes River. There will be food, beer, and family-friendly games at the start and finish (Loge Entrada). Alternatively, they will also host their October Pub Run for some adult Halloween fun.
The Aadams Family Musical
Oct. 12th-14th
Oct. 18th-21st
Oct. 25th-28th
Nov. 1st- 3rd
This fun musical about the kooky Aadams Family will play at the 2nd Street Theater every weekend in October, including most Thursdays and all Fridays. While the creators are rating the play PG-13, this is a fun family event to get you in the mood for All Hallows’ Eve.
Tickets are $25 for adults and $22 for students and seniors.
Haunted Illusions and Halloween Party
Oct. 31
America’s Got Talent star David Caserta is coming to Bend on Halloween this year to shock and awe his audience with his amazingly spooky magic act. Caserta is one of the top traveling illusionists in the country and will put on a great show. Suitable for audiences 5 and older, this will be a fun event for the whole family!
Tickets are between $17 and $32.
Trick or Treat at Cascade Village Shopping Center
Oct. 31 4-7 PM
We will be hosting a trick or treat evening on Halloween at Cascade Village Shopping Center. Participating stores and restaurants will be handing out treats and goodies. Stop by with the whole family for some Halloween fun!
