Stay at home adjustments for restaurants

How CVSC’s Restaurants Are Adapting to Stay-At-Home Orders

During times of stress, having a favorite meal can make a big difference. As you well know, Oregon’s stay-at-home order has stopped restaurants from their usual business in an effort to slow the spread of the virus. But at the CVSC, and around our town, we have seen restaurants adapt beautifully.

Changing with the times

The hospitality industry has been hit hard as more and more people confine themselves to their homes. Restaurants, especially local ones, are among those businesses most affected. However, the unprecedented events of COVID-19 have led restaurant owners to be more creative in their delivery than ever.

From curbside service to dispatching delivery food trucks, these businesses are serving their customers in ways that both comply with social distancing and help keep their businesses afloat. And while many restaurants have had to cut down their prices and offerings, they are also finding ways to creatively package their food and to virtually increase their presence via social media.

How the restaurants at the CVSC are adapting

The restaurants at the CVSC are no different. They have adapted to the stay-at-home order and complied with all new policies by offering takeout and delivery to their customers. El Rancho Grande’s mascot, Diablo, may even personally deliver your food to your car.

Need a little extra pick-me-up? These restaurants are fighting through the changes. The food service locations still open at the CVSC are offering full and limited menus on local favorites. And while it’s true the hours may have changed and some items may not be available, these companies are stepping up for the community.

Some, like El Rancho Grande, are even hopping on the drinks-to-go trend with their cocktail mixes available for pickup or delivery.

Whatever your situation, there are options to have your favorite meals from the comfort of your home. Call the restaurants directly or look for them in your favorite delivery apps like Door Dash, Grub Hub, Uber Eats, and Postmates.

If you’re craving food from one of our still-open restaurants, check out their menus below.
