Bend has been in the news more times than locals can probably count––and with good reason. Where else in the state (or really, the entire country) can you find the perfect mix of work hard and play hard? Here, you can spend the day on Mt. Bachelor only to chase the sunshine down the hill for an afternoon of paddleboarding on the Deschutes, finished with a local brew at one of our 22 breweries. It’s magical. At the CVSC, we’d like to think we’ve captured that magic to become the best shopping in Bend, Oregon.

The Best Shopping in Bend Oregon Since 2005

We know, we know. It’s a big statement: “the best shopping in Bend, Oregon.” But we can back it up. First, a little history on the CVSC if you’re not familiar. In 1998, this property was home to an indoor shopping mall that had survived past the mall frenzy of the 1980s. After purchasing the 34-acre space, we began renovations for the Oregon chalet-inspired craftsman architecture that’s synonymous with the CVSC. In 2005, the shopping center we know and love today was once again ready for the public.

What Makes the CVSC Unique?

It’s probably true that people don’t come to Bend specifically for shopping. But, while you’re here or when you live here, why not explore all Bend has to offer? We could list hundreds of reasons why we have the best shopping, but we’ll give you five.

Mountain views

The Cascade Mountain Range (does the name ring a bell?) consists of an impressive stretch from Northern California to British Columbia. And the stretch of the range that runs through Central Oregon is visible from the CVSC––with the three Sisters taking front and center view for admiration during all shopping seasons.

Delicious restaurants

Patrons of the CVSC can choose from nine restaurants that vary in price point and food type, so there’s always something to satisfy any taste bud. For example, take a lunch break with casual dining at Togo’s Sandwiches or Little Pizza Paradise. Or dress it up for dinner at Moose Sisters or Shinsei Sushi.

Outdoor shopping

The open-air environment of the CVSC takes advantage of the area’s 300 days of sunshine. The pedestrian-friendly sidewalks, elaborate landscaping design, and Village plaza area with water or fire features (depending on the season) make the entire shopping experience unique. We pride ourselves on keeping a clean and safe environment for everyone.

We’ve carefully put together a variety of tenants to create a diverse shopping experience to fit every need. From groceries to gifts, you can explore shops like Trader Joe’s, Best Buy, and PetSmart––all in one convenient location.

Local flair

This community is our home, and we do our part to contribute positively to it. We support our local shops and make it a goal to keep a local presence in the shopping center at all times. And, when COVID rules allow, we host events that benefit community members young and old.
