Fall Decor Ideas to Make Any House the Talk of the Neighborhood

Posted by Cascade Village

Autumn is officially in the air, and if you’re like us, you’ve been counting down the days until it’s acceptable to put up fall decor. Good news: the time has come. And if you’re looking for seasonal inspiration, we’ve got you covered with fall decor ideas for every budget and style.

DIY fall decor ideas

Whether you’re going for a spooky or classic fall theme, you can find all the fall decor ideas and supplies you need at Bed Bath & Beyond and Ross Dress For Less at the CVSC. To get you started, here are three easy DIY decorations.

Mason jar candle holders

Mason jars are good for more than food storage. These charming containers serve as an excellent double for holiday crafts. For classic fall decor, transform a set of mason jars into candle holders. Start with a clear mason jar, fall leaves (real or fake), and hot glue. Using the glue, attach a layer of leaves to the jar’s outside and finish with twine or ribbon around the top. Drop an LED tealight candle inside and place the jars around the house for a warm fall glow. You can also give your candle holders a spooky twist with faux spiderwebs or black paint instead of leaves.

Fall basket wreath

Wreaths and autumn go together like peanut butter and jelly. Think outside the circle and make your own front door “wreath” using any basket you like. Simply attach a hanger to the back and decorate it with ribbon, fall leaves, spooky spider webs, branches, dried flowers, twinkle lights, and anything else you can find around your neighborhood. The creative possibilities are endless.

Seasonal centerpiece

Let your inner artist run wild with a creative fall centerpiece. To achieve the perfect DIY centerpiece, start with a base: a wood cutting board, a festive serving tray or bowl, or a table runner will do the trick. Then add to your centerpiece with whatever decor strikes your fancy—candles, faux pumpkins, pinecones, wood accents, you name it. Let the aisles guide you.
